I have a 7100 and love-love-LOVE it. A friend at work got one at my recommendation and loves his too. The keyboard works fine and the screen is nice and bright. Internet service is probably slightly slower than dial up. I use it mostly to look up phone numbers (call-ahead reservations), addresses and movie-times.

I have the Tmobile version. Tmobile service is great in my area.

This article says the 7100's I can open up MS Word and PowerPoint. I can't open many attachments on my phone, so if that is important to you, you might want to double check that.

I have experience with all sorts of end user multifunction devices, and after a year of fighting with Blackberrys vs. Treo/other Windows based devices, I must say that both the Palm and Windows based devices are far superior than Blackberry in terms of expandability of the software and ToC in medium to large enterprise environments. Seriously consider an alternative to a Blackberry if you plan on implementing it in a corporate environment, especially a smaller corporate environment with budget concerns (BES carries a hefty $$$$ price tag for the functionality it provides). If you just need it for your personal email and use, such as a very small business without an inhouse mailserver, then its definitely worth consideration, but only then.
