IE or FireFox? Let the Wars Begin!

FireFox 2.0Let the browser wars begin! This week, FireFox played catchup with IE for a change, with the release of their 2.0 version.

Within the last week, two new browsers have been released — both of which hope to be your first choice for bringing all of that new web content to your desktop.

Firefox 2, the latest version of Mozilla’s open-source browser, was released Tuesday — less than two years since version 1 and about 11 months behind version 1.5. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7, the first browser from the Redmond giant since IE6 arrived in October 2001, was released for Windows XP users Oct. 18.

Heck, just get them both. They’re free.

  1. Go with Firefox 2.0, there has been alot of fixes with this new release. Its really good, and much easier interface than the new Internet Explorer 7, which also has compatibility issues that I have ran into.

  2. Help me please…
I just installed Firefox 2.0, and all of a sudden, my username/password isn't being inserted in the signon window (it always was before). I tried the usual suspects–I did not mistakenly tell FF not to remember the password for this site; and I also tried the remember password bookmarklet, but all to no avail–FF will not ask me to remember this password. What do I need to do to get around this?
