Slider Phone! Samsung SGH-U600 Unlocked GSM Phone
Everyone has seen the new large-screen smartphones that are flooding the market. It seems that everything that could even remotely be considered a PDA has been modded to fit a phone inside it’s plastic coffers as well. But why must they all be so ugly? Let’s face it, with the exception of a few hand selected models, smartphones are a throwback to the large “brick” cell phone designs of the 80’s. And nobody wants to see that decade again. So, enter the slider phone.
“Slider” means that aside from essential on/off and activation keys, the only thing you see when you look at the SGH-U600 is the brilliant TFT LCD Screen. That bright display covers the lion’s share of the outer surface with 240×320 pixels. The back of the SGH-U600 houses a 3.2 megapixel digital camera. As with other “slider” type phones, the SGH-U600 face slides upward to reveal the numerical keypad. This is a very sleek alternative to difficult-to-use smartphones that require a stylus to operate.
