Video Review: Toshiba Satellite A205 S4639 Notebook PC
Want an everyday PC that won’t let you down? The Toshiba Satellite A205 S4639 Notebook is just the machine you’re looking for. It’s not in the bargain-basement range by any means, but this is a good thing. This isn’t just a LCD display, keyboard, and enough RAM to boot up. You’ve been down that road before–forget it. This Laptop is loaded with the components you need, along with some nice features you’ve wanted but always thought that you couldn’t afford.
The Satellite A205 is housed in a newly redesigned Onyx blue metallic case. The light silver keypad and surrounding board is minimalist and contains a fingerprint reader for upgraded security. 
This is sweet, because it makes stealing your laptop almost pointless. And if you didn’t know that until now, you can bet your binaries that thieves already do. There are a couple of other hardware features worth singing praise upon: the 5-in-1 flash media card reader and the optical drive.
The flash card reader is one of the coolest things Portable PC makers are incorporating (or not, to their peril) into laptops. 
It features direct connectivity for SecureDigital, Memory Stick, xD Picture Card, Memory Stick PRO, and Multi Media Card varieties of flash storage devices. This means that there’s a damn good chance your camera or other digital device uses a flash card that can be plugged right into your computer. And if not, this Toshiba Satellite A205 S4639 has a host of connection ports, so you are covered either way.
The optical drive is more than a CD burner that can play DVDs. It’s a Dual Layer DVD+/-RW drive. The dual layer part means that much, much more information can be written to each blank DVD. Oh yeah, you can burn your own DVDs. We don’t condone unauthorized copying of DVD material, but what you do with your laptop is your business, isn’t it? And of course you can watch DVDs to your heart’s content, also.
The Satellite A205 has a 15.1-Inch WXGA LCD that features Trubrite technology, a fancy word for advanced display capabilities that improve the visual quality of your multimedia experience. It’s also a widescreen monitor, which means that you’ll enjoy your cinematic content in the 16:9 aspect ratio it was intended to be.
In addition to all this impressive stuff, there’s 4 USB 2.0 ports, specially spaced out to fit oversized USB connections, dongles, and whatnot. There’s an Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB of DDR2 Memory, and a HUGE 280GB hard drive. Check out this video review for a more detailed description of this capable PCs equipment. You’ll be glad that you did!
