[..YouTube..] um, if you’re taking separate audio, please make sure you actually use it next time. I’m thinking there’s way too much ambient sound.

I was the unfortunate purchaser of the Lorex mCam DVM5031 kit. I have had nothing but trouble with this product and the problems have been compounded by the very poor support offered by Lorex (Canada). It started with wasting several hours trying to get the kit working, only to discover that the software, shipped with the hardware, was woefully out-of-date! Normally, I wouldn’t spend so much time trying to do an install, but since it took a week to get a response to my request for support, I did it out of frustration. I have found that the phone support and the email support are equally ineffective. All of this probably could have been avoided if I had stuck to my S.O.P. and ordered from TigerDirect instead of ordering directly from Lorex. TigerDirect and Lorex are at opposite ends of the service/support scale and anyone who has dealt with the ultra “customer oriented” TigerDirect will know which company is at the very bottom of the scale! My advice, obviously, don’t waste your money on this companies products.
