This is the Board Your Mother Warned you About: The EVGA nForce 680i SE-SLI Motherboard

EVGA nForce 680i SE SLI-TR versionThere are quite a few 680i motherboards on the market, which can make it hard to choose which one to go with when building your system. The answer, as always, lies in what kind of computer you’re trying to assemble. When putting together a Multimedia PC, HDMI and other inputs and outputs for home theater equipment are essential. When gaming, you’ll either want to overclock now, or want to overclock later, once you’ve put the whole thing together. If you want to get the most out of your build, you should consider the EVGA nForce 680i SE-SLI Motherboard. Keep reading, and I’ll give you an e-cookie.

evga-nforce-680i-se-motherboard.jpgThe SE version of the EVGA 680i is specifically designed for Intel Core 2 Duo chips. If you’re dead set on Quad Core or some other type of processor, you might want to go elsewhere. Logan will tell you why in his video review—he’s really got these things down. Do as Logan says, he’s a smart e-cookie (yeah, it’s a cop-out, but I don’t have any actual way to give y’all a cookie over the net). Besides, you can get incredible processing power out of Intel’s Core 2 Duo series. This board fits heavy hitters like the Core 2 Extreme, so you won’t ever be able to say: “I wanted a better processor, but my motherboard couldn’t handle it.”

The EVGA nForce 680i SE-SLI Motherboard is designed for you to overclock stuff. Everything is designed for tweaking—from the memory slots (You need faster than the stock 1066 FSB? This is the board for you) to the storage component connections that let you get innovative with the wires and run various RAID configurations. There’s even an on-board on/off switch, so you can field test your setup without making (unmaking) all those final connections. Hate reading? Take it straight from our Guru’s mouth! Check the video review below—TigerTV host Logan will hit you with more knowledge than you know what to do with. And by the end, you’ll know exactly why the EVGA nForce 680i Se-SLI Motherboard is right for your PC build.
