[..YouTube..] The problem with this series of cards is Anti-Alaising, there is no true 8-16x aa on this card, it does some blurry crap to simulate it, also the performance drops in 1/2 with aa on compared to nvidia which can now get up to 8x aa free and 16x for a few fps. Check out anadtech and gamespots reviews, dont check out toms hardware as he is biased.
[..YouTube..] The stream processors are not the same they are a differnt architectures, they run at same as core clock, where nvidia has a seperate shader clock that is more then double the core clock in ghz. So 320streams at 500mhz or 128 stream at 1800mhz, plus nvs better architecture. Ati 2000series can’t even render all the grass in oblivion, most bench sites have to lower the res down to 1280×1024 to get playable rates with aa and af.

[..YouTube..] GDDR4 is pretty good, but right now the 1 GB cards are way too expensive .. if you were to absolutely want a 1 GB 2900 XT, you could spend the same amount of money for a 8800 GTX, which is a much, much better card overall.

[..YouTube..] Another planet? You have no idea. 294 on max load doesn’t mean that a 294W PSU will power it - you have to take into consideration the other parts, too. Many people recommend at least a 650-700W PSU for ONE card. I’d recommend about a 800+W PSU for two of them, and that’s if your case has room for them. Search for HardOCP’s review of the 2900 XT and they mention that 750W for 2 2900XT’s isn’t stable at all.

[..YouTube..] It really depends a lot on the quality of the PSU. You can buy an expensive-brand 450W PSU that performs as well as a 500-600W one. It’s really a pain to select or recommend the “right one” to be honest because there are so many factors.

[..YouTube..] installing a power supply is easy- just mount the PSU in an ATX case in the upper right hand corner- connect the 12v rail to the motherboard- power up the hard drive, and all your peripherals and if there are dedicated fan power connectors use them for your fans

I didn’t intend for hardcore gaming though. And…it’s fanless! I like it. It doesn’t even go CLOSE to 80C under load.
