Portable and Desktop Perfection: Sony VAIO PCs
Sony VAIO continues to be one of the most innovative of all computer manufacturers. While there are some cutting-edge companies stuffing everything and the kitchen sink into their PCs (and charging accordingly) VAIO continues to release quality, unique designs that the average man can afford. And they’re not skimping on capability, either: Both the Sony VAIO machines I’m about to show you are equipped with Microsoft Vista operating systems and loaded with the hardware you need for today’s (and tomorrow’s!) computing needs.
The first thing you notice when you see the Sony VAIO VGC-LS21N is that it is light years ahead of the competition. Everything else just become details, albeit extremely attractive and pleasant ones. The VGC-LS21N is an All-in-One Desktop PC. All-in-One is usually a term used for print stations capable of other handy office features than just churning out paper copy—but it applies here just as easily. That’s because Sony has done away with the ugly tower-based computer body for this PC. The working parts of this VIAO are all contained in the 19-inch Widescreen monitor’s framework, so all you need to find room for is the keyboard and mouse (also Wireless).
An Intel Core 2 Duo processor powers the Windows Vista Business Edition operating system, and 2GB of memory makes sure that this platform is up to any task you put it to. The sleek, transparent frame contains integrated speakers and a 1.3 megapixel webcam so you can stay in touch with all your friends, family, and e-contacts. The only drawback: you can’t point the webcam at the computer to show it off!
Digital Photography is a big part of VAIO’s big brother Sony. That’s why you shouldn’t be surprised to find that even a looker like the VGC-LS21N has an easily accessible side-mounted FireWire and USB 2.0 port for easy downloads from your Digital camera or camcorder. As if that weren’t enough, there’s a pair of Flash card slots: one for Sony’s own Memory Stick lineup of flash media, and one for SD card types. This is a considerate touch, as Sony doesn’t have to accommodate competitor’s technology—but they have, for your convenience.

This thing would be at home on the desk of any big-name firm’s reception area. But it could also grace your workspace as well—it costs less than $1200 dollars. For that you get one of the most stylish PCs I’ve ever seen, along with Wireless everything. The keyboard is as slick as the monitor/computer itself—it connects wirelessly to the PC and can be covered by a fold-out aluminum cover to hide the keys themselves. There’s even integrated Wireless 802.11 b/g connectivity inside the computer itself. As with all the new Sony VIAOs, this wireless connection can be turned on or off with the flick of a switch mounted on the keyboard.
Want something even more portable? The Sony VAIO N220EW Factory Refurbished Laptop PC is a great example of why VIAO is making a huge name for itself in the Laptop industry. This Vista Home Premium Edition PC is powered by a powerful Intel Pentium Dual Core1.73GHz processor and backed up by 1GB of memory, so there’ll be no Vista compatibility issues here. There’s also a Dual Layer DVD burner and an 80GB hard drive for all the stuff you want to keep.
The chassis is that of all the new VIAO PCs—sleek, brushed metal and as elegant as you can get. The minimalist design is perfect for smaller factor PC applications like laptops; it’s wonder that more PC designers don’t know this. Along with a stylish white keyboard, the connections are neat and well placed. There are two Media Card readers, one for Sony’s own Memory Stick series devices, and one for SD cards. This is a nice feature, as older technology tended to be more brand-loyal, to the exclusion of competitive technologies. If you’re looking for a deal on a truly good looking laptop, the Sony VAIO N220EW Factory Refurbished Laptop PC is perfect.
Don’t pass up a chance at these great machines. The VAIO VGC-LS21N is a great PC that won’t last, and the VAIO N220EW is a Factory Refurbished model, so when we sell out, that’s it! [..YouTube..] first comment
[..YouTube..] dat iz nice!!
[..YouTube..] second
[..YouTube..] The future is a MAC/APPLE.
[..YouTube..] pretty slick! have used Sony products for years =)
[..YouTube..] not! closed architecture is not the future its the past! Pcs run open arch that is why they are so successful, anyone can make one and brand it or make it themselves, they are easy to fix, apple you have to goto a store or chuck and buy new, and they are expensive, I hate how ignorant apple fans are, they are the dumbest bunch in the tech industry.
[..YouTube..] Sweet!
[..YouTube..] this kind of looks like 1st gen apple cinema display lol.. but so much better.i love this, really looks sleek.
[..YouTube..] yea.. i believe that iMac came out first… and on All-in-one PCs.. it’s not about upgrading… it’s about being compact.
[..YouTube..] watching him handle the keyboard nearly blinded me
[..YouTube..] That’s actually pretty cool. How much is it going for?
[..YouTube..] When i used to hang out in the future! LOL
[..YouTube..] “The Future”?The Imac has been around for a while and you HAVE to laugh at the “Very stable operating system” line ;>)I like the keyboard though
[..YouTube..] sony first put mics on the computers. mac thinks they did it first however vaio put it for a while.. mac sucks. vaio rulz
[..YouTube..] imac rip-off
[..YouTube..] Trure. Vaios are the most amazing machines out there. crapple fanboys are always envy of Sony’s superior design & innovations. Just see the comment below… poor mac users.
[..YouTube..] 100% Agreed Nodieus. Crapple fanboys can not understand what a GREAT machine and platform is.

[..YouTube..] but it sure is expensive
[..YouTube..] I bought one of these and it is awsome!!

[..YouTube..] Okay, I am a Mac user, but I will admit, that machine is really sweet! (yes, I above that mac snoodiness!)
[..YouTube..] Gosh. Now everyone is really copying Apple now. haha
[..YouTube..] It’s ****ing beautiful… I’ve seen one firsthand
[..YouTube..] apple rip off
[..YouTube..] My god that is hideous!
[..YouTube..] Kill me now!
[..YouTube..] Wow. It’s almost as good as my 24″ 2.4GHz iMac with 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD.
Apple has been doing a flatscreen all-in-one since like 2003, right?
[..YouTube..] I have seen one of these in person, it looks very nice. But it is also underpowered and overpriced. As a Mac user, for the same price, I can get a MUCH better 2.4 ghz NEW Core 2 Duo, 70 more GBs of Hard Drive space FREE, better DVD burner, an ACTUAL graphics card (not that intel GMA crap), and better wireless! I am not dissing Sony, I am just saying that if they want Mac users to be jealous of whats out there in the PC world, they need to get on their game.
[..YouTube..] … NOT!
[..YouTube..] lol this thing costs $1,899.. who actually dare again to say iMac are too much expensive? :)
if it’s from the future with does it come with 802.11b&g when everyone is running 802.11n?
[..YouTube..] First of all, that will die on you every 13 months, just after the warranty stops. Sony does not know how to make good computers. This is Lacking Gigabit Ethernet, and 801.22N. Two main selling points. Oh and it has vista, thats another problem
[..YouTube..] This is like the noobest guy ever,he’s all..”this things from the future”….It doesn’t even have the specs of a 3 yr old iMac.
[..YouTube..] iMac looks better
[..YouTube..] Ahahahahahhaha! This is a serious product?!
[..YouTube..] it looks like one of those digital picture frames, only it’s horrible
[..YouTube..] Wow, I thought “Who the hell could actually like this thing that much?”, then I realized this was an advertisement for TigerDirect. So Lame!
[..YouTube..] iMac rip off.
[..YouTube..] this ****ing rocks so **** u all
[..YouTube..] IMAC 23 BRASIL 4 EVER
[..YouTube..] I don’t understand this, you can get a better 2.4ghz, 24″ iMac with a video card for less? Plus the iMac looks much better that this.
[..YouTube..] 19″ monitor lol. iMacs have 20″ min now lol…
[..YouTube..] What, there’s an entire computer in there? I’ve never seen anything like that before!
If only Apple would design something that nice. Guess I’m stuck with this hideous 24″ Aluminum iMac I just bought.
[..YouTube..] the imac killer!!1
[..YouTube..] c’mom…
are you talking about imac?
you just gotta be kidding me…
cool gear, but rather stay with my imac.
thank you
[..YouTube..] This guy thinks this Sony Vaio is from the future apparenty he never owned an Imac befor. imac has been makeing this design from the past. iMacs offer 1TB of HD space with a 24″ screen this is what not even a 19″.and the sony only offers 250GB HD space. I’m a PC user and your better off with a imac. Sony makes very good products. But for the All-In-Ones i’m going for the Mac. And i am a PC user by the way.
[..YouTube..] looks like an imac but much fatter and uglier
[..YouTube..] i have this pc
[..YouTube..] i think it’s very very nice! it’s different from an imac but still cool!
[..YouTube..] plus: monitor 19 ok but 16:10 !! not 4:3 like an imac!
and a wireless keyboard!!! not in imac!
[..YouTube..] I would not buy that Vaio even it it was the last computer on the heart. Sorry but it’s a copy of the iMac. And it sucks because it runs windoze vista. =(
…sad…
[..YouTube..] i have several of these in my office and there very nice and cool to work with BUT my boss told me to set it up with a big flat screen tv we have for presentations in the confrence room and ITS NOT POSSIBLE. since it is desighned to be a tv itself so there is no possible way to output anything only input.
[..YouTube..] A piece of thick square plastic while still much more expensive than slim & sleek iMac aluminum. Good jobs for Sony finding fools to buy their VAIO Series PC
[..YouTube..] An obvious iMac knockoff
[..YouTube..] Imac DOES have a wireless keyboard. And also, I hate wireless keyboards. Replacing batteries is more annoying having a wire.
[..YouTube..] this cheap clear plastic is going to out of style much fast than sony is going to upgrade it. plus its windows…sick
[..YouTube..] that guy is retarded
[..YouTube..] 20 bucks says he’s never been layed
[..YouTube..] Sure it’s like an I Mac and that’s good because Sony is on the cutting edge of computers like Apple..
[..YouTube..] 0.52 - Did he say that Vista Business is a “very stable” operating system.
This guy talks as though he has never heard of an “iMac’
[..YouTube..] Sony isn’t so good when it comes to Desktops.
By the way, macs are only for silly gullible apple fans who don’t know how to use a computer properly. Thats why macs were created.
no offence to those who aren’t so good with computers.
Oh! and ever bought a mac that was under £1000.
