Acer LCD Monitor Monday: Meet Two More than Affordable LCD flat Panel Displays
You’ve probably seen plenty of LCD Flat Panel Monitors in the last few years. This category of computer equipment ranges from the small and inexpensive to the absolutely mammoth (both in size and price). While you’ve probably added one to your desktop repertoire either as a replacement to your CRT or as a second screen to augment productivity, chances are you haven’t maximized your desktop value.
That’s because you haven’t checked out these Acer Monitors. Acer makes great displays that provide reliable, high-resolution graphics without breaking the bank. TigerDirect has sold Acer brand monitors for years, and many of our graphics personnel have them on their desks. But you don’t need to be running a highly successful Computer and Electronics retailer to benefit from one of these affordable monitors. Check out the Acer AL1706AB 17-Inch LCD Monitor, for instance.
This is a perfect monitor to augment your CRT or another LCD monitor. In business applications, it could theoretically replace your CRT completely. While graphics –oriented home PC users may want to opt for a Widescreen model (We’ll come back to that later) this LCD is perfect for spreadsheets, web browsing, or sending, editing, or reviewing Digital Photos or video. With a resolution of 1280×1024, you won’t miss a single pixel. Other notable specifications include an impressive .26 pixel pitch and a 8ms response time to prevent lagging and rogue pixilation. These are selling fast, so you’ll have to check TigerDirect.com for complete pricing and availability information.
If you’re in to graphics at home or work with them at your job, consider the Acer AL1917WABD 19-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor. This flat panel display is capable of a true 16:9 aspect ratio, for full movie content, multitasking, and more. It has 1440×900 resolution and a 5ms response time. While it is by no means the most powerful monitor out there, it falls well under 200.00 dollars and unless you’re an absolute fanatic, you won’t miss what’s not here. It has a 700:1 contrast ratio and DVI and VGA connections. A slim black bezel and Acer’s signature minimalist footprint means that this 19-Inch widescreen monitor will free up more workable space on your desk as well as on the screen.
There’s a size and capacity Acer Monitor for everyone. Whether you want a small LCD to augment your current screen or are after the biggest and best graphics powerhouse, you’ll find an Acer on TigerDirect. And we sell them cheaper than everyone else. For every type of Acer LCD under the sun, just follow the link below. And if you’re interested in the two monitors I’ve just introduced you to, there’s a link for them as well. Enjoy!

[..YouTube..] can you play PS3 (Sony PlayStation 3) games on LCD monitors?
[..YouTube..] 700:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, and 1440×900 resolution? On a 19″?
A 19″ should be minimum 1440×900 resolution, minimum 1500:1 contrast ratio, and minimum 5ms response time.
My 22″ runs on 1900 x 1200 resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and 2ms response time (and cost me $380).
