Beat the Summer Pricing Heat: Two Vista Computers Under $500.00 Dollars
Getting you dollars to go further in the summertime is probably worse than the heat itself. Especially nowadays, when almost everything of lasting value will cost you over $1000 dollars. But what if you don’t have a $1000 dollars? (Hey, it could just be me, right?) I’ve pulled two portable PCs out of the TigerTV labs long enough to prove to the world that you can get a capable Laptop for less than 500 bucks.
First up: The Gateway MT3705 Refurbished Notebook PC. Powered by an Intel Pentium T2060 1.60GHz processor, the Gateway MT3705 proves you can get CPU speed for less. The LCD display features Ultrabright technology and a 14.1-inch widescreen with 1280×800 resolution. This laptop comes running Windows Vista Home Premium, the new 64-bit operating system from Microsoft. With this kind of capability, it’s a good thing that the Gateway MT3705 has 1GB of DDR2 memory and a 100GB hard drive. Other features include integrated 802.11g wireless connectivity, a slew of connections like USB, S-Video, and a 4-in-1 flash card reader. There’s even a Dual layer DVD burner, so you can back up data or make full copies of your feature length DVDs. The Gateway MT3705 Refurbished Notebook PC proves that you can get a capable laptop (not to mention Windows Vista!) for less than 500 bucks.
Not so keen on trusting a refurbished PC? While I in no way approve of your unwarranted paranoia, I’ve found a brand new PC around here that’s got exactly what you need, no previous owners involved. It’s the Compaq Presario C502US Notebook PC. Don’t let its cute looks and petite form factor fool you—this PC runs the introductory version of Windows Vista and can hang right up there with the big boys. It sports an Intel Celeron M 1.86GHz processor and has 512MB of memory. There’s an 80GB hard drive, and this little wonder rounds off the show (or gets it underway) with a 15-inch Widescreen display capable of 1280×800 pixel resolution. Check it out in one of our very own TigerTV video Reviews!
Don’t take my word for it. Below you’ll find the links to these individual products on our TigerDirect.com site. These light, very portable PCs pack a punch, but won’t burn a hole in your pocket. So if you need a new laptop but are a bit light on cash, don’t worry. TigerDirect.com has exactly what you need to get your mobile operation productive again—even if your operation is just perusing Youtube for TigerTV videos!

Yeserday, (11-22-07) I stood in line from 2:30 am until 5:00 am just to be told that there were no more Sony laptop computers (that were on sale for $499.99) available. Best Buy had only 15 or so to sell. I was cold, tired and hungary. I want to ask you, where can I find a laptop computer for under $500.00?
Could you direct me to a store (in Maryland) so that I can get a laptop computer?
