Here at TigerTV we’ve got enough experts to at least pretend we know everything there is to know about Computers, Electronics and more. But what about those of you that don’t have access to the tech-heads, hackers, and various other e-gurus wandering through these halls? For you, we have created Tiger In Box—an opportunity to get your so-important emails, questions, and burning technological issues (we suggest you put some thermal paste on that) out in the open and out of the way.
While most of us are too busy to even answer a phone, there’s one amongst us for whom this plethora of knowledge just comes naturally. This prodigy of PC lore is our very own TigerTV host Logan—and he’s taken it upon himself to answer as many of your questions, comments, and queries as is humanly possible. Send him your thanks, send him your love, and above all, send him any concerns you may have regarding your PC, it’s inner workings, or anything else with an electrical cord you’re unsure of. He just might answer you—in a segment we call Tiger In Box.

[..YouTube..] Dude.. that IS his haircut LOL.
[..YouTube..] lol cant stop laughing because of the 9800 series.
If you want an insane rig, and you’re not on a budget:
1) Get SATA hard drives and set them up as RAID0. (have to be 2 identical hard drives). RAID0 will increase the speed on writing/reading data from hard disks. I recommend you look up everytihing about RAID0 before hand.
2) I’d wait for the new nForce 780 to come out on november 12. They’ll perform faster than any 680i, plus choosing the 780i could give you a bit of advantage to run SLI
3)For the processor, I’d also wait for the new quad processors coming out before christmas from intel too. Games are starting to use multiple cores, and an intel quad core would be perfect with the new 780i.
4)If you also want to take advantage of DirectX10 for greater gaming experience, go for vista. But make sure every game you’re playing atm supports windows vista as well.
5)Since you’d have an nForce mobo (If you wait for the 780i) you should obviously go for an Nvidia card. If you already have a 8800gts then keep the current card you have for a while now. If money is definitely not an issue, wait for the 9 series cards and you could just buy 2 of the lower-mid range 9 series cards to run on SLI to replace your 8800 gts.
Also consider all the power you’ll be needing. Make sure you have a good enough power supply with 650w+ with good good voltage on the 12 rail.
[..YouTube..] He should Gel his hair out like wild, would look sick, now he looks like my grandfather.
