This Just In: Top Reviewed Products and Questions You Just Had to Ask
Every once in a while I’m asked to write copy for a product that just amazes me. Yesterday’s big gaming barebone featuring an Intel Quad Core (Kentsfield) 2.4GHz Q6600 CPU, the Intel DX38BTX38 Socket 775 motherboard, 2GB of Corsair MXS3 DDR3 memory, an Ultra Aluminus Mid Tower ATX chassis, and an Ultra X3 600-watt SATA and PCI-Express ready power supply fits the bill. Now, I’m not a gaming expert. Just to show you how primitive my gaming skills are, the last PC game I played was King’s Quest VII - the Princeless Bride by Sierra On-line back in the mid 90’s. Logan: With this barebone as your core you will be able to put together an insanely powerful system. The Q6600 is notorious for being one of the most overclockable CPUs on the planet. The stock speed is 2.4 GHz but i don’t know anyone running it at that speed. I have achieved a 3.2 GHz clock speed with air cooling and I have seen this clocked higher than 3.5 with water cooling! The motherboard is Intel’s next generation extreme series motherboard, the Bone Trail! It is crossfire, so think about picking up a couple of those ATI 3870 graphics cards. With a couple of those in this system Crysis will run extremely well. This is a great start for your extreme gaming system!
Henry: This is a killer bundle. Quad-Core gaming at its best! It will catapult any beginner to a new level of the PC Gaming stratosphere. These components provide the same power as other setups, at half the price. Take your money and buy this Bundle! It’s not just a purchase, it’s an investment!
