i went to my screensavers and it came up again I think it may have something to do with screensavers.com it did not start giving that message until I downloaded their 3d screensavers

I found that if you upgrade the Flash software it stopped this error.

I was able to remove this EVR pop up after unstalling Real Player and K-Lite.

Now i am having same issue but before i knock on Vista i must say i love it most of the problem comes with the fact that Vista often fails when it communicates with bad software. I am aware of said problem but i think its mainly due to progams being downloaded that have an adware the adware attaches itself to the executable file that is needed to operate the programs of sort I tunes , quicktime and real player to name a few. Somehow Vista superior complex status to other operating system gangs up on the adware or Pishing (pardon spelling) program and causes and error the reading would have normally been something read or sent to the programmer of program using the adware. I am getting rid of my program Vista is still the bomb.

This message only started for me after I installed the new Firefox Shockwave Flash plugin (np-mswmp.dll) that replaces the old npdsplay.dll plugin file that you used to have to use for Netscape or Opera. High Definition Game videos were not working and this new plugin was suggested as a possible fix.
Apparently it worked for some people but I’ve been the only one so far with Vista that has mentioned it. I’m still waiting to see if other Vista users are getting the same results.
It forced me to shutdown Opera and the complete Operating system in order to get rid of the message box.
Perhaps it’s the plugin that’s causing others such problems.
I wish Microsoft would notice it and do something about it.

I reported this to Microsoft put I did not get any response from them … if they don’t help on this NO one exepet them can do … it is all about Windows Vista

I have been getting this EVR Bad Image pop up also. I don’t know what started it, but I also have another, perhaps unrelated problem. When I try to call up a website I get an unending download circle. The only thing to stop it is to exit Windows explorer, and re-enter. These two problems seem to have started about the same time, but months (over 3) after Iobtain my new computer with Vista.

I also encountered this annoying error message tonight while using BBC iplayer. Couldn’t play any of my downloads or clear the error message from the screen. Following various online tips I used the task manager – end processes – found I was running 5 x mfpnp.exe. Ended each of these and the error message disappeared. Will now try uninstalling and re-installing BBC iPlayer.

I had the error message, uninstalled, then re installed iTunes and now it tells me all my library is from a newer version on iTunes and cannnot be played. Any suggestions?

This may eventually be unrelated, but I started getting these messages when BBC iPlayer was installed. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, rebooted and it was gone.

If you don’t have iTunes but you do have quick time try reinstalling quicktime
