Mass Expirations at Hulu?

Hulu - ExpiringOnline video enthusiasts have been excited about the launch of Hulu, including myself – since it’s original beta period. Now as an official ‘hulu addict,’ I have to tell you today something doesn’t seem quite right.

Looking at several new series, I noticed a large number of episodes are expiring in the very near future – hours and several days at most. What’s going on – load ‘er up for the launch and then take back the goods? I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come to a site of which I’m so fond.

Pre-Teen Network Admin Shops CompUSA

Jon Penn (Photo Credit: Network World)Managing a network of 60 aging computers is no small task, but it seems to be just fine for an 11 year old Jon Penn at Victory Baptist School. When the network admin up and left just before the start of the school year, the librarian became the ‘go to gal’ to take care of things, and she had a great admin in mind – her son. The Sherwood, Arkansas small private school has even gone through some upgrades.

The first thing Jon found as he leapt into the role of network manager was that he had to map out the network to find out what was on it. He bought some tools for this at CompUSA and realized there was an ungodly amount of computer viruses and spam, so he pressed the school to invest in filtering and anti-virus protection.

Acer Aspire 5315-2713: A Capable Notebook for Under 500 Dollars

Acer Aspire 5315-2713 Notebook PCCheck this out. An email crossed my desk here at the TigerDirect labs regarding a particular Laptop: The Acer Aspire 5315-2713 Notebook PC. So I read through the specs and they’re pretty decent: An Intel Dual-Core processor, a gig of memory, and a 120GB hard drive. It even comes running the introductory version of Windows Vista Home Operating System. Not bad, but none of this is what I’d call “newsworthy” until you take the price into consideration: This portable PC is brand new for under 500 bucks.
