Hitachi keeps you up-to-date by bringing the newest items in camcorder storage media technology. You’ll be dazzled by its latest product – the Blu-ray Hybrid Camcorder.
The Hitachi DZBD7HA is the new show in town since it offers Blu-ray disc (BD) recording capability. This unique, hybrid camcorder lets you record directly in Blu-Ray format as well as take advantage of the technology’s features, including storing mode files that’s almost six times the capacity of a double-dual layer DVD.
Blu-Ray Video Recording Leads the New Way
This camcorder comes with a built-in 30GB hard disk drive (HDD).
With the Blu-Ray recording capability and a 30GB HDD, the camcorder can record about four hours of 1920×1080-pixel high definition (HD) video (HX mode) or up to eight hours of 1440×1080 HD video (HS mode). It is also equipped with a 2.7-inch display, which makes it easy to frame your shots.
The function menu can easily be navigated with the simple push of a button. It can copy contents from HDD to BD within the camcorder itself. It also comes with easy editing functions such as split, delete and connect. Fitted with a high-resolution image processing LSI, it produces sharp, high-quality images to be processed in cameras in real time with low power consumption.
Capturing HD videos is possible thanks to the camcorder’s 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor, which is fitted to provide brilliant colors, decreased image noise and low static power consumption. With this sensor, getting vibrant images is easy as pie. A CMOS sensor lets you record videos at 1920×1080 pixels/60Hz and take still images at 2400×1800 pixels. The camcorder has 10x optical zoom and up to 500x digital zoom.

Touted as a reliable and dependable camcorder, the DZBD7HA is compatible with five types of industry standard discs: BD-RE, BD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW and DVD-R. The user-friendly camcorder has a one-second quick start function that lets you spring into action and videotape events as they happen without fumbling for a series of start buttons.

The unit also has space for memory expansion, as it has a slot for a SecureDigital flash card. It saves movies in MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 formats, and includes built-in flash. You can transfer all you videos and image files to a desktop or notebook PC through the camcorder’s various inputs: USB, HDMI, S-video Out, component out and multi-A/V out. The camcorder is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery and is bundled with a battery charger.
Overall, this innovative hybrid camcorder is not worth missing out on. It will make you capture once-in-a-lifetime memories like never before. As it paves its way to the next generation of technology, you’ll be happy you got it before everybody else.

The TV was good but not that great. I had difficulty installing the TV. The picture quality wasn’t what I expected at all. You’ll have to adjust the picture settings to get good picture but even after that the picture wasn’t that amazing. The sound was not clear. There was some background noise. Overall, I wasn’t satisfied with it.
