Running speaker wire for satellites, discovering if your 5.1 jacks on your motherboard actually work, etc.

You don't need that hassle! If you want to experience surround sound quality without having to go down the full 5.1 surround route, then the Logitech Z Cinema Advanced Surround Sound System is right for you!

You might not know it, but if you've been using iTunes for the PC you have been missing out. The Mac crowd has been enjoying audio of a much higher quality as it uses a different back-end to process the audio.

We're stuck with the crappy quicktime audio filters on PC. Quicktime is a resource hog and it also sounds like mud when compared to other programs.Allow me to introduce Foobar 2000. It is still in beta but it is extremely usable and it offers the best audio playback I have heard on a PC. The equalizer is infinitely better and the sound quality is amazing.

I downloaded it then cranked up some In Flames. "Oh my God!" The wife came running around the corner to ask if everything was alright. "Yes it's alright. This sounds amazing!"

If you thought you couldn’t get by without your DVD player, wait until you see a movie shown on a high-definition DVD player. The difference is stunning! Now that high-definition DVD players are on the market at last, why not go out and buy one? Two reasons – high prices, and the war between the two incompatible formats – HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Prices on high def start at about $500, while the Blu-Ray models are around $1000. It’s possible that one of these formats won’t survive their ongoing battle, and you might just be out of luck if you buy a player that works on the losing format.

Those old enough to remember a similar war between BETA and VHS video formats might note that you can still find VHS video cassette players, while their BETA counterparts are only found beneath cobwebs or on basement floors. Thus, a little patience might serve you well. However, if you can’t wait to own your own high-definition DVD player, this article will help you make your choice and also shed light on the standard DVD players available.

When you are looking for a new computer, where do you turn? Well, it seems people are turning to TigerDirect more and more - and today's TigerTracks is a great example.

So, my PC that I bought in Saudi died recently, and since I do a lot of work from home I had to get it fixed, or a new one fairly quickly. Ergo, I went out and bought one. Went to TigerDirect here in Toronto and got a GateWay re-furb. Nice machine, with 250GB hard-drive, 1GB of RAM and it came with Windows XP Media. This is really a really cool version of XP that lets you make your own jukebox, really organize your pictures and videos, and it came with a TV tuner card. So, I hooked up my cable to my PC, and as I write this, I am watching CSI:Miami. So cool!
