Today marks the one year anniversary of the release of Microsoft Windows Vista - and what a year it has been. From corporate IT departments willing to upgrade and users asking for downgrades. But after all, humans as a whole, do not like change - and Vista was a change from the ordinary.

As a Vista user on 100% of my home systems - I can tell you that I like Vista. Is there any crazy features that make me jump up and down about Vista - Yes. The Integrated search functionality replaces Google Desktop pretty well, but I like the Google interface better in the way it displays search results.

Is there anything about Vista I hate - not really. Other than the fact it gets a bad rep.

Users who have gone over the edge and somehow obtained a non-purchased version of Microsoft Vista were met with a problem - copies which failed registration through the Windows Genuine Advantage program were faced with losing a majority of system functionality - basically rendering your system inoperable.

With the forthcoming update 'SP1' for Vista, Microsoft announced today that their 'Anti-Piracy Approach' is changing. Microsoft instead will now provide what amount to "Nag Messages" informing you that your copy of Vista is not legitimate and they should purchase a registration key.

Apple lovers are drooling over the newly released Leopard Operating System. PCWorld provides a great comparison against Windows Vista features in a great photo essay. You'll find completely new features, like the Apple Time Machine. This great new feature is kinda like 'GoBack' with one of the coolest graphic representations in it's interface for previously stored states on the system.

Other features take a hand up from the iPhone interface, as shown in the inset image. This interface allows you to flip through documents while traversing your file structure in adjacent windows. Virtual desktops to reduce application clutter and other new innovative features are quickly revealed in this new operating system.
