Philips Ambilight Plasma Televisions – Got flair?

Philips Ambilight Plasma TelevisionEnjoy the ultimate viewing experience of this Philips Cineos Flat TV with Pixel Plus 2 HD, Ambilight 2, the latest PDP technology and table top stand. The Digital Media Reader via USB gives you full access to multimedia content.

While many people are still scratching their heads, asking “What the heck is Ambilight?” – I ask you to watch this video compilation including a Philips Ambilight commercial from Poland — if you haven’t already seen the “Hulk” video on TV lately.

So, the concept is that the experience you gain from the more “dramatic” lighting. While the current version @ TigerDirect offers the 2 channel Ambilight, watch for the forthcoming 4 channel models that are now being released. This technology can truly enhance your overall home theater (and GAMING) experience.

Help: First Build – Case Recommendations Needed

Help!I’m building my first computer and im looking for some suggestions. I need some ideas for a good case for under $100. Something with filters or screens would be nice because my room is dusty.

I am using a Biostar TForce6100-939 NVIDIA Socket 939 Motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+. With that processer should I buy the regular windows pro SP2 or should I get Windows pro x64 or something else all together? Any other suggestions at all please feel free.

Fast, Sleek and Beautiful… Acer’s Ferrari FR5005WLMi

Acer Ferrari 5005WLMi-4

The importance of a company is judged by its products, knowledgeable staff and from the value and reputation of its marquee. This is the reason why Acer and Ferrari have joined forces to produce and brand, quite possibly one of the best notebooks on the market today. But what makes the Acer Ferrari FR5005WLMi one of the best notebooks on the market?

Motor Kombat!

Yes you read correctly folks, Mortal Kombat: Armaggedon has an extra game that is like Mario Kart on crack. It’s one of my favorite features of the game, it allows kids to play without a “lot” of gore. There is still some gore in this mini-game but it is done in a humorous way… someone splats into a wall you see 2 seconds of blood and a big “Fatality” comes up in red letters.

The rest of the game is MK at it’s finest, of course it will still upset the anti-violence crowd but that is a given… The Mortal Kombat series started the anti-violence groups! The game itself though is rock solid. Online play for the bawl drinking multi-players and great single player experience in “Konquest” adventure mode for you Single passionate gamers. Let’s not forget create a fighter which lets you take a fighter and design it from the ground up. You unlock more options as you play Konquest mode by either finding new objects or getting enough MK cash to buy new stuff. I made a hot ninja chick because I’d rather spend all day looking at a hot girl than looking at some scary guy!

When are you a gamer?

People who play games aren’t really “gamers” until they meet the following requirements,

1). You must know every stat of your PC, console, or handheld playing device.
2). You must rutinely play multiplayer games in hopes of being one of the best
3). You must use “Voice over IP” programs when playing multiplayer
4). You must know all the modern taunts like calling people “N00Bs” after a headshot
5). You must know the best players in the game, so you can challenge them, even if you lose you learn!

Real Business in a Virtual World

Immersive WorldsIn 1997 I predicted it, dreamed about it and anticipated the day when virtual reality would be a real-time experience. Oh it was already happening then but not on a mainstream level. In 2006 and beyond virtual reality is um… a reality. I am not talking about video games I am talking about real human interaction with other real humans in a virtual environment. (Sit back boys and girls…I feel this post is going to be long)

Before I can make my point I need to give you some back story. My first experience interacting with real people in a virtual world was on a game server in my office at Netsales Inc (now defunct) Yep it was always Sales (my department) against the Techs and boy did I think my handle was cool “KillerSalesman” Halflife was the game and we were so happy that we had access to a fast pipe (in 1999 cable Internet was still not common though growing by leaps and bounds) and working for a technology company had its perks. T1 access, a fast computer and loads of Mountain Dew!

Review of the Samsung 205BW 20″ Widescreen LCD Monitor

This is a review of the Samsung SyncMaster 205BW 20″ Widescreen LCD Monitor. I recently had about 20 of these monitors purchased for my offices, and thought I would write a review. Keep in mind my ‘offices’ are out here in Fallujah, Iraq and the conditions are far from favorable. I haven’t had much time playing with them, but have had ample time setting them up, installing, and adjusting them.

While my purchase was work related, this is an awesome monitor for anyone looking to upgrade to a larger monitor, adding a second monitor or creating a multiple monitor setup. Especially for only $239.00 (w/ rebates) right now at TigerDirect, you can’t go wrong!
